FRED youth-blog provides an exciting publishing opportunity for students and young people to express their voices and expand a particular topic of interest. This is also a great way to start building a portfolio to add to your CV.

If you align with FRED’s values of Fairness, Respect, Equality and Dignity (FRED) and would like to make your voice heard, share your views, ideas, you’ve come to the right place!

All publications must comply with our FRED guidelines outlined below:

  • Published content must comply and align with FRED values of Fairness, Respect, Equality and Dignity (FRED) and in general with RJ4All values.
  • When appropriate, published content should encourage to dispel stereotypes with an emphasis on young people who are at risk of being marginalised, disadvantaged or excluded due to their background, race, mental health, socio-economic status, gender, physical abilities or sexual orientation. It goes without saying that none of the content should be discriminatory against any of the above characteristics!
  • Published content must follow acceptable academic standards and use references and quotes when citing other sources. But don’t panic! This shouldn’t be an academic essay! We want you to reference those ideas that do not come from your mind, but we don’t need full academic citations.
  • Published content must not be politically engaged or promoting specific political parties or ideologies with a campaigning purpose. FRED and RJ4All are in fact independent, impartial and non-party political. This does not mean you cannot talk about politics if that is what interests you, but you cannot express any endorsement for political ideologies and or parties.
  • Published content must not support any extreme ideology or promote any religious fundamentalism.
  • Although there is no minimum or maximum word count, we recommend you write no more than 2.500 words by published piece.
  • In terms of actual content, please write about whatever interests you, if you care about it!
