The 2024 FRED Youth Awards is all about acknowledging our community champions and those who have dedicated themselves to the FRED principles of fairness, respect, equality, and dignity. This year’s competition also challenges young people to use their imagination and showcase their creativity and originality! They form part of the Footsteps Forward project funded by the Mayor of London’s VRU office.

Categories

Footsteps Forward Star Award

To recognise a young person who has shown particular growth and strength in the Footsteps Forward programme which supports children who are experiencing bereavement.

People’s Award

A peer-voted award for a young person who demonstrates admirable support for others, kindness, warmth and engagement.

Young RJ Ambassador

For a young person who provides a shining example of the core restorative justice values of power sharing, fairness, equality, dignity and respect

Young Creative

For a child or young person with inspiring creative flair.

Peer Mentor

For an older young person who encourages and supports younger children.
